THE ROCKS OVER THE BLUES

Hola! im back,

After the whole crazy things about my 2nd semester final exam *sigh, i think i deserved some fresh air for my precious damaged brain. I decided to go on a short trip since i have only 4 days before i should back to my actually-not-so-busy-days.

I call some friends that might actually have been in the same damage-brain-condition and list them, after all, there are 9 friends that joined me and Belitong Island won the votting. I booked the plan ticket by Batavia air for @IDR 700.000 (round way). Unluckily, this time i didn't have enough time to go backpacking which i used to, thus, i (unfortunately) should paid more to a travel agent to prepare my accomodation.

Here, i want to share about the trip:

First Day (4th Jan, 2013) - TANJUNG TINGGI

The plan will be departed at 09.25am and arrived at 11.00 at Belitung (delayed, it should be only took 45 minutes)

Tanjung Tinggi

If you ever watched Laskar Pelangi movie, this is where the shooting took place. It is located like 30km from Tanjung Pandan. There are many types and sizes (which mostly gigantic) of granyte that become the superior of Tanjung Tinggi, like phi phi island in Phuket Thailand, but it has many many more. Beside, beautiful scenery of granytes i also spoiled myself with swim and sunbathing here under the warm of the sun.

Bukit Berahu

This is more like resort owned by public, there are restaurant, villas, swimming pool and private beach. I dont think there special things about this place beside it has like hundreds stairs to go down to the beach. I even didn't take any photo here.

Second Day (5th Jan, 2013) - HOPING ISLAND TOUR

Today's activity called "Hoping Island Tour" because we will go from an island to another

The day starts with traditional breakfast at Mie Belitung Atep, this is one of the oldest mie resto in belitung. Mie belitung itself contain with noodle in thick sauce tasted salt a bit sweet with small shrimp topping, actually i didnt really like the taste because for me it is too sweet. The special thing about this noodle is the price is only IDR 11,000 and we're lucky our tourguide treat us as compliment, so thank you!

Lengkuas Island

Belitung island is surrounded by small islands and Lengkuas is one of them, the uniqueness here, you can see a lighthouse that built by the dutch in 19th century, if you want you can go inside the lighthouse it is free and climb hundreds stairs to go to the top and see the crystal water of the beach from top.

There are some granites island that can be reached by walk. As most beaches in Belitung, lengkuas island has totally clear crystal water

Lengkuas island is one of the most important destination to be visited in Belitung.

Burung Island
Not far from lengkuas island, there is burung island.
actually we're not stopped by this island but we went snorkling around this island, because the guide said it is one of the best spot, if you're lucky you can see sea turtle passess you.

Kepayang Island

This is also another island near Lengkuas, different from another island it is more quite, thus Kepayang island very suitable for relaxation, laid on the white sands feel the breeze with the roar of the waves. But, Kepayang island is the only island that provide diving facilities and there also a sanctuary which has a turtle conservation-place.

Third Day (6th Jan, 2013) - KAOLIN

Kaolin Lake

 we've got only 2 hours before we have to be in the airport, so w didn't go to the visit more beach, but the guide took us to one interesting place called "KAOLIN". Kaolin itself literary is soft white clay that is important ingredient in the manufacture of porcelain and widely used in the making of paper, rubber, paint.

In Belitung, Kaolin is man-made lake that used as a place of mining Kaolin, but now remaining large holes contain of beautiful turqoise water. unfortunately, it is too deep and the water contain dangerous material so we can't swim here.
This is not far from the airport.

Every beaches in Belitung must full of granite and crystal blue soothing water, so i want to say that in Belitung ROCKS ARE OVER THE BLUES!
